Calder Way Project Update June 25, 2026
/Dear property owners, business managers, and other stakeholders:
The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2 of the Calder Way Improvement Project.
This week, the contractor completed the installation of all underground utilities for the project. Cleanup and restoration efforts continued from South Burrowes Street to South Atherton Street.
On Thursday, June 25, and Monday, June 29, paving will continue from South Burrowes Street to South Atherton Street. On Tuesday, June 30, line painting will be done, and other project punch list items will be completed.
With this, a majority of the Calder Way Improvement Project Phase 2 project is substantially complete; There is just one item left to complete that will occur after Arts Fest. This work could cause a restriction from Miller Alley to South Burrowes Street. Additional correspondence will be sent when a start date is established.
Please remember that projects of this nature are fluid and often change, and they can be impacted by inclement weather. You will be updated in a timely manner about these changes as they are received.
The Borough wants to emphasize that primary communications will be sent via email through the Calder Way Communications list. Weekly updates will be provided on Thursday afternoons, and there will be times you will receive more than one update per week as conditions change.
