Calder Way Project Update July 2, 2026

Dear property owners, business managers, and other stakeholders:

The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2 of the Calder Way Improvement Project.

This week the contractor completed restoration and paving from South Burrowes Street to South Atherton Street as well as minor punch list items. With this, the Calder Way Improvement Project Phase 2 is substantially complete.

There is one final item to be completed following Arts Fest which will cause temporary restrictions between South Burrowes Street and Miller Alley. Correspondence will be sent prior to this work beginning.

Please remember that projects of this nature are fluid and often change, and they can be impacted by inclement weather. You will be updated in a timely manner about these changes as they are received.

The Borough wants to emphasize that primary communications will be sent via email through the Calder Way Communications list. Weekly updates will be provided on Thursday afternoons, and there will be times you will receive more than one update per week as conditions change.
