Calder Way Project Update June 11, 2026
/Dear property owners, business managers, and other stakeholders:
The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2 of the Calder Way Improvement Project.
This week, the contractor finished installation of water and sanitary sewer lines from Cresson Alley to South Atherton Street. Water and sanitary sewer line installation is complete for the project. The contractor also base-paved several areas and began restoration along South Burrowes Street.
On Friday, June 12, Ameron Construction will pour new sidewalk along South Fraser Street. This section of sidewalk will be closed until Monday, June 15.
Next week, Calder Way from South Fraser Street to Cresson Alley will be closed to complete final paving. Paving will also close South Burrowes Street on Monday, June 15, from New Alley to College Avenue. Additionally, the contractor will also work on conduit installation from Cresson Alley towards South Atherton Street. Restoration in several areas will also begin.
Please remember that projects of this nature are fluid and often change, and they can be impacted by inclement weather. You will be updated in a timely manner about these changes as they are received.
The Borough emphasizes that primary communications will be sent via email through the Calder Way Communications list. Weekly updates will be provided on Thursday afternoons, and there will be times you receive more than one update per week as conditions change.
