Calder Way Project Update May 28, 2026
/Dear property owners, business managers, and other stakeholders:
The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2 of the Calder Way Improvement Project.
This past week, the contractor, TerraWorks, installed three storm structures in the intersection of Calder Way and South Burrowes Street. The contractor also installed conduit from South Burrowes Street to Cresson Alley.
Next week, water line work will resume in the intersection of Calder Way and Cresson Alley. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic in and out of the Graduate and Echelon. Crews will also continue working on sanitary sewer and restoration of concrete.
Vehicular traffic from Miller Alley to Cresson Alley remains closed. South Burrowes Street from New Alley to College Avenue will also remain closed for next week.
Please remember that projects of this nature are fluid and often change, and they can be impacted by inclement weather. You will be updated in a timely manner about these changes as they are received.
The Borough wants to emphasize that primary communications will be sent via email through the Calder Way Communications list. Weekly updates will be provided on Thursday afternoons, and there will be times you will receive more than one update per week as conditions change.
