Calder Way Project Updates
/The Borough of State College is writing to provide you with the latest updates regarding Phase 2 of the Calder Way Project.
This past week the contractor continued replacing and upgrading sanitary sewer lines and extended the fence from South Fraser Street to South Burrowes Street. Exploratory excavation also began for water and gas lines.
This upcoming week contractors will work Tuesday, February 24th through Friday, February 27th.
Calder Way from South Fraser Street to Burrowes Street remains closed to vehicular traffic. For delivery purposes, shipments can still be made via Beaver Avenue, South Fraser Street, or Miller Alley. However, drivers will need to use New Alley to exit to Burrowes Street if they are unloaded on Miller Alley.
Refuse locations have moved, for those at 119. South Burrowes Street, this includes GN Associates and the Executive Offices. Please refer to the map attached and the location for refuse is marked as “Refuse Location Two.” For the Fraser Centre, continue to utilize “Refuse Location” as indicated on the attached map.
Businesses that have alternate entrance points have been contacted individually, If any businesses have any questions about access to the building or refuse please let me know.
Please remember that projects of this nature are fluid and often change, and they can be impacted by inclement weather. You will be updated in a timely manner about these changes as they are received.
